The ThermInnov System is Tintas 2000's external thermal insulation system (ETICS). It is one of the most effective solutions to achieve a high level of indoor thermal comfort in buildings, with lower energy consumption associated with heating/cooling needs.

For the correct application of the ThermInnov System, Tintas 2000 developed an Application Manual with the various execution phases and some construction details.

ADVANTAGES

Elimination of thermal bridges

Constant condensation of water vapor on cold walls, due to thermal bridges, causes mold and fungi to form, leading to wall and ceiling deterioration.

Improved wall waterproofing

It improves wall waterproofing and the materials that make up the outer layers of the system have properties that ensure rainwater resistance.

Health

Reduction of mold and fungi, which cause various types of respiratory allergies.

Winter and summer thermal comfort

It is efficient not only in preventing heat loss from inside to outside, but also in limiting heat entry through facades.

Masonry protection

It protects masonry from hygrometric actions that cause degradation through cracking.

Rehabilitation without relocation

It can be applied without residents being relocated, or even disturbed.

Energy savings

With truly efficient thermal insulation, heating and cooling energy savings can reach up to 30%.

Aesthetic rehabilitation

It enables facade renovation with various final finish types.

THERMINNOV SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Substrate

Flat vertical exterior surfaces of new or existing buildings (rehabilitation), and also horizontal or inclined surfaces not exposed to precipitation.

Bonding adhesive

ThermInnov mortars are used for bonding

Thermal insulation

The thermal insulation is intended to increase the thermal resistance of the surface on which the system is applied.

Fixing anchors

They are plastic elements (PVC) and serve as support/fixation for the thermal insulation to the substrate.

Base coat

The base coat is composed of ThermInnov Mortar.

Reinforcement mesh

Reinforcements are generally fiberglass meshes with polyamide coating, which gives them anti-alkaline properties against the aggressiveness of cements.

Finish coat

The finish coat is composed of ThermInnov Mortar.

Primer

After applying the final mortar coat, a primer should be applied to even out surface absorption, provide anti-alkaline protection and improve adhesion of the final coating layer.

Final coating

In the ThermInnov System, the preferred finish is Crepimil Extra. Crepimil Extra is an acrylic decorative facade coating, with high weather resistance, good light fastness and water impermeability. It can even be applied in winter,
under low-temperature conditions (minimum 5 C) and higher relative humidity.
